The Battlecity Olympics took place last night and there were definitely some huge upsets!
In the "Guided Dog" event, where the goal was to lead your partner through a mine field as quickly as possible without getting him/her killed, the Gold medal went to the team of Leuitenant Landon11100 and Major bobbob222! Although the team was the underdog going in, they managed to reach the finish line first! The team of Scile and Knights which were close behind hit a mine and did not finish the race!
In another event, the goal was to make your way across a gauntlet of turrets and mines! Players needed to survive all these obstacles then Orb the base to win! In the end, Duke Jizohn took the gold dodging the final plasmas at the Command Center to get the orb! Sniper45 and gippal617 received Silver and Bronze respectively as they were running in right behind Jizohn!
There were several other events held throughout the night. There was a Race event as well, where Jizohn won his second Gold medal, followed by BoC for silver and Papa Smurf for bronze!
Earlier in the day, there was another event where players needed to shoot the guarded Orb! There were 3 orbs, 2 of which were shot by Tony and 1 by zhantrim! The bronze medal in this event went to BoC, who although did not get an orb, was very strategic in his attack and came very close!
Genghis held a relay race event, of which I do not know the results! Method also held more events after I had to leave! Was fun! Congrats to all the winners!
