Tonights game was relatively short with JB being orbed by -IGGY- @ 8:25.
The game started off in JB's favor as they were completely done their city 1 minute BEFORE the grace period ended, leaving them ready to pounce on hdo when the 5 minute mark hit. HDO was able to hold off the attacks until their city was complete. BennyGuapos continued to attack looking like he was aiming for HDO's offense. The game began turning around when Merloch and -IGGY- went to attack together. Within a matter of minutes -IGGY- took out sleepers and Merloch took out turrets and seconds later it was over.
Deceth was named JB's MVP for constructing their city in just 4 minutes!
Merloch was named MVP for opening up JB's city for iggy to get in for the orb.

WFC showed the fastest city building ever and was done one minute before grace ended. GoW suffered from having their first game and even started to build too soon, causing the game to delayed three minutes.
WFC sent Hot Dog and Zeike out attacking at once but at the same time Boc and Jizohn set out for WFCs base. WFCs defnces were soon pressured by the terrible force of GoWs offensive line and soon trembled in a three man and a girl defending before they managed to kill off the attackers and rebuild the base.
As GoW started attacking with all four players Hot Dog attempted a sneaky attack on GoWs unprotected base and was close to run inside before he was stopped by Boc and Chris in turns. At the same moment Hot Dog was killed WFCs base was opened but the defending fans managed to kill Jizohn just as he reached their CC.
GoW now established a new 4 man attack and with Boc and Chris taking turns in hitting the turret- and wallfactories GoW was able to orb WFC after 18 minutes and 55 seconds of play.
Great game by both teams and highly worth spectating.

This evening's game started with 2 attackers from each side. Shortly after the match began, SnG was forced to play 3 defenders. Commons nearly opened jakarta once, but fell short by dying.. As the match fought out and Skopje became a 4 man defense with a full force of JB attackers! Samycool nearly got to cc, leading his team through the trenches in the path that eventually gave JB there first Win. This weeks MVP's were giving to the SnG's Leader, Commons, and JB's BennyGuapos. Great Game to both teams for a battle well fought.

As usual Surge was done building long before Grace period ended.
DoubleB83 tried a quick attack against HDOs fortress but had to return in vain as HDOs mighty offenseline put a heavy pressure on the WFC base. Both -IGGY- and Merloch was hitting on the southwest entrance in the start and managed to get rid of bazookas two times before they started a all force attack from south and east to get to the defencive factories.
Only a spectacular save from DoubleB83 saved WFC after about seven minutes of play allowing Surge to rebuild the lost factories. But as HDO crept to a four man offence on the allready wounded WFC-base Merloch was able to drop the orb where it belongs after 9:53 of playtime.
Surge claimed another MVP for great rebuilding and mayoring as he did last time. Maybe he is moving for another player of the week title. HDOs MVP was a close call between -IGGY- and Merloch, but as Merloch was orbholder in addition to inflict a lot of damage he got the title for this game.

Both teams finished their cities quickly and Gow jumped to the attack. Jizohn focused on the southern side of the city at first with Boc assisting his attack. At one point, Boc dropped a bomb next to the walls before dying but GoW would not get that close again.
Down at Hanoi, Ballsout and ~Warlord~ attacked Annihilator and Chris helped defend at times also. Obiwaz watched over this city and commented on Anni getting caught on a few dfgs. Ballsout took out sleepers at one point but GoW recovered nicely.
As time wound down, GoW took the 4 man attack to JB. Jizohn took to the north side of the city now and was able to take out lasers but Deceth was quick to rebuild after Jiz was disposed of. Time expired with GoW putting heaving pressure on the city of Skopje and perhaps just in the nick of time for JB.
At the start of OT, Jiz immediately took out laser and bomb research to cripple the JB attackers. Ballsout made a gutsy move though and took out the GoW bomb research. It was this move coupled with his strong play all match long that earned him the MVP award for JB. Balls and ~Warlord~ combined to take out dfg, laser, and orb researches also to criple the GoW offensive. JB tried to attack with all 4 but with only an orb and zooks to aid them, it was to no avail. Time ran out with both teams hungry for more in this tie!
Congratulations to the Jungle Bunnies and Gods of War for putting on a great show tonight. I look forward to the rematch of these two highly skilled teams!

VIDEO OF FINAL 2 MINUTES (7meg WMV)
At the start of the game, SnG outnumbered GoW 3 to 2. But Jizohn arrived just before the end of the grace period, and Gr8brian joined just after, turning the numbers in their favor.
SnG finished their city well before the grace period ended, while GoW lagged behind. This never became a factor since GoW attacked from the start, never allowing SnG to mount a serious counterattack.
GoW attackers kept the pressure on SnG's Armidale with a constant 4-man attack spread evenly over all sides of the city. They bombed many buildings, but were prevented from taking out any any of the SnG factories.
SnG's sturdy defense took a hit when BoC took out the wall factory. Commons and ScubaSteve respawned trapped in their CC, leaving Meerkat the lone defender until it was safe for his teammates to get out.
Jizohn followed BoC's path into the city and bombed lasers, rockets, and sleepers. With Annihilator closing in from the north and Gr8Brian taking out the plasmas from the south, SnG's already-outnumbered defense was spread too thin.
BoC made it back to Armidale and suicided on top of a bomb stack that again took out lasers, rockets, and sleepers. Jizohn got the orb at 9:43, at which point SnG had survived unarmed for more than a minute.

Looking at the lineups the outcome was not very unexpected as SnG showed up one man short. Scubasteve was rewarded MVP as he was the only suit with guns that showed up on time.
Both mayors built quickly and were done building before end of grace period. For Makaveli this was done despite his commandos were constantly misplacing his turrets and bombing them.
HDO then leaped out in a three man attack wave and started poubding on the SnG base. -IGGY- managed a suicide run after 6 minutes that not only took out greens and opened up the path to CC but allso killed SnG's mayor. Before it could be rebuilt Zhantrim was able to take out plasmas and shoot two of the walls. Commons tried heroicly to rebuild his lost factories but had no chance of saving his city as -IGGY- came back carrying the orb into the heavily wounded city.
SnG's threemandefence held their ground 7 minutes and 2 seconds before they were forfeit.

Before this match even started, there was fire in the air. The meeting room was a mess as trash talk flew between the two teams. This was possibly the most hyped-up battle in BCL history and it sure didn't dissappoint.
As the building period ended, CMB was slow to finish building at Mango. GoW quickly layed their final defenses though and were forced to a 4 man D as HDO pounced quickly. GoW held their own until Chris was able to turn the battle in GoW's favor as he started to attack the HDO city alone. Makavelli tried to hold him off but needed help a few time as his teammates respawned.
The battle slowly shifted to the HDO city with Chris's strong attacks. He managed to kill Mak at least 3 times by use of the DFG. This momentum swing allowed Jizohn to work his magic and do some major damage to the southwest side of the HDO base. Makavelli held strong and rebuilt quickly and his city was never in any severe danger. Chris managed to take out wall, laser, and med factories in seperate attacks but couldn't get any closer. Jiz was able to take out the dfg factory multiple times and attempt to shoot the row of turrets in front of the CC. GoW sent 3 attackers at one point before the battle shifted south again.
HDO layed a heavy attack on GoW shortly before time expired. Merloch was able to suicide and take out the plasmas but Iggy couldnt sneak in, as the CC was still covered with greens. This powerful attacking combo would have to wait until OT to get another shot at the GoW base.
Overtime started with Chris vs Makavelli one on one at Harbin while the remaining HDO members attacked Mango. Chris carefully layed bombs and managed to destroy laser research on his first attack before dying. Makavelli rebuilt out of instinct but quickly demolished the building when he realized what he had done. The BCL refs issued Mak a yellow card and warned him that another building mistake and he would be kicked.
With HDO's heavy attack continuing, many houses were destroyed which allowed Ayana and merloch to shoot the turret factories. Shortly after, Iggy swooped in with the orb to end the game with 3 minutes remaining in OT.
Jizohn earned MVP honors for GoW for his swift attacking and solid defense. Iggy earned the MVP honors for the victorious HDO for heavy attacking and the orb that ended GoW's undefeated run. As stated earlier, this battle certainly lived up to expectations with fast paced action from both teams. Be sure to keep an eye on the upcoming BCL playoffs to see if these 2 teams collide again! Congrats to both teams on a hard fought battle and well played game.

OT Highlights Video – 6meg WMV
This game meant everything to both teams, and boy did they not disappoint the community. This game was packed with intensive duels and suicides at Armidale. After a very slow beginning, WFC started to pick up the pace. SnG was held to atleast 2d the entire game, while commons strayed away from time to time to attack. A few time, he even recorded getting the orb factory. However, with great mayoring skills and quick rebuilding Scubasteve and his right hand man, asian, were able to keep the base intact. After a long and exhausting 23 minutes of regulation, WFC decided to try turret rushing. Despite not being up to date on the rules, alot of thier turrets crossed the 9 tile rule, and were quickly destroyed by the refs. Despite having thier south side weakened, SnG was still able to hold off untill OT. After the 2 minute grace period ended, WFC threw everything they had at SnG. Amazingly, SnG held on against the odds for half the OT. Finally, after much determination and repetiveness, Hotdog was able to bomb open the city and rush in for the orb. It was recorded to be orbed with exactly 5 minutes left in OT.Well done, this game marked the last of the regualr season. Be on the look-out for the up and coming all-star game. And last, but certainly not the least, the Playoffs will begin after the All-star game. Stay tuned for more in depth coverage, and possibly even a BC Power-Rankings for the Playoff picture.
Once again, thank you to all the teams for making the regualr season enjoyable for all. Also please support all new players to join the BCNL, this can serve as great practice for our newer players.
