i fixed some shit in the code and compiled it and i got the server up!
go into ‘options.ini’ and change the ip to 10.0.0.110
(i am pretty sure that is the ip to use for others outside of this network)

Next, you will need to access your router settings and setup Port Forwarding.
Battle City is running on port 5643.The best way to setup port forwarding is to find the model # of your router, then search for port forwarding instructions for your device.
Would it be possible to get battlecity on steam? Im not sure if anyone owns the rights to the game or whatnot but it would definitely bring a lot of exposure if you got it on there as a free to play game.
Oh my god it’s battle city!!! Was sitting around with bench of friend talking about playing old game back in the 90’s and battle city was the hot topic!

Hey, this game was one of my earliest memories of online gaming. I went by the name “HeLL” and I played around a decade ago. Every once in a while I go searching up for this game and download it trying to get myself in there. I have memories of Weebo going around with his fancy tank skin and testing out gauntlets and just making friends with people. I wasn’t even 10 years old grinding for a better rank title and I remember getting so sooo excited when my title would change. I remember asking people for tips on base designs and thinking I had the best ever design and no one could orb me. I miss this game and not in the kind of way that I would play it for a day and be satisfied for a couple more years. I want to regularly play this game with a familiar community. This game is unlike any other i’ve found and i’ve tried many games in my life. I definitely feel like this game deserves a place on steam and i’m confident that it would be greenlit. Either way, I hope that somehow this game finds its footing, and I promise i’ll be a regular member.
