Not sure how hard it would be, but getting BC onto steam would open the game up to a lot of new people. The only game I could possibly compare it to is Realm of the Mad God, which BC is better.
p.s. for anyone planning on resurrecting bc my email is jjp5344@gmail.com
I’m in on it for sure as a player .
I’m installing the server now. I was another middle school kid (now server admin) that loved this game! Have a xeon Server with 700MB of internet, I can host! I’ll be posting the IP soon.
Server is up, now what??
64.90.208.181
Looks like it run on port 5643 so I routed that one in. Let me know if any other’s need to be routed in. So now what, do we need to have a custom build that points to the server or something? I don’t see a server.ini file or anything.
Wow, this was easier than I thought it was going to be to compile with the new server IP. This doc was great! https://github.com/Deceth/Battle-City/wiki/How-to-Setup-your-Development-Environment
Just download this and place in your battle city folder, this is hosted on a real server with 700MB internet and Xeon CPUs, up 24/7. Have fun!
