Hey guys! It’s been a long while since I’ve thought about this game, but with all the free time I have now at home with this pandemic I thought I’d try and see who’s still interested in this game and set up a few things.
I know this game has always suffered from lack of players, without anyone online it can’t even function! I’m hoping that enough of you still check this forums, or maybe are like me and have free time now and are thinking about picking it up again and see this post.
I have set up a unofficial Discord server for BattleCity where we can coordinate when we can all be online and when we can host, so we can ensure people can have a good time! It’s completely possible for me to host a server (and I’d love to) but I know in the past that the $$$ of hosting one is a major pitfall with these things. With that in mind I’m hoping that we can plan a night or an event to play BattleCity through the discord and then someone can host it for the night (I’m happy to) and that way we don’t have to worry about the server dying.
If this ends up getting enough regular interest I have a home server and I’d be happy to host it 24/7 like I said, however I think getting people to join this Discord will be an awesome first step.
