Valliant Spotlight December 2007

Valliant has been around since 2006 and is really not a newbie anymore. However, when it comes to the Newbie Spotlight, it’s never too late to be recognized! Valliant, who before the reset was a Duke, was spotted on the Monthly Top 20 back in March and April 2007. After that he disappeared for a while, only to surge back onto the scene this December when he once again made it onto the Monthly Top 20.

Valliant has also found himself ranked quite high on the new “Points Per Death” Top 20, with a PPD average of 12.3054. At the time of writing, the highest ranked player is 420, with a PPD average of 17.845. What do these PPD numbers mean? If we take Valliant as an example, his PPD score means that he earns an average of 12.3054 points before he dies!

Watch out for Valliant in the new year!

meanb*tch Spotlight November 2007

RedRocket’s partner in crime, meanb*tch, has definitely earned herself a Newbie Spotlight Award after finishing 2nd Place in the Autumn 2007 BattleCity League! She also had another notable second place finish in July when she finished #2 on the Monthly Top 20 behind latinolucio.

November has been the first month of play with a complete score reset which means that the #4 Monthly Top 20 finish by meanb*tch this month also currently makes here the 4th highest ranked player in the game!

RedRocket Spotlight October 2007

RedRocket has found himself in the Spotlight this month after finding himself currently ranked #1 in the BattleCity League Standings! With only the BCL finals remaining, RedRocket is in an excellent position to win the championship and scoop up a whole bunch of BattleCity League Awards!

While nobody may have expected RedRocket’s sudden rise to stardom, looking closer at his past shows this was bound to happen sooner or later. In April and May of this year RedRocket managed to sneak onto the Monthly Top 20 earning over 11,000 points in both those months. Then RedRocket surged to #4 on the July Monthly Top 20, earning over 17,000 points that month! Looks like he was only warming up and saved the best for the BCL!

Kaboom! Spotlight September 2007

Hate him or love him, Kaboom has set himself apart as one of the games elite players. He made the Monthly Top 20 in July and was voted among the games Top 5 Defenders in both July and August. We definitely expect to see him climbing further and further up the ranks of BattleCity and hope to see him remain on the Monthly Top 20 for many months to come!

It is highly recommended you avoid becoming enemies with Kaboom as he is definitely not as ethically inclined as some other players may be. He is very persistent which can be very dangerous if he is in the mood to lame you! As he continues to become a more and more dominant player a good idea would be to get on his good side!
