On August 29th, 2005, ReBeL was sent to the Battlecity underworld when he was caught attempting to make God Mode. It is believed that ReBeL was trying to gain power in order to free or serve the Dark Lord. Although ReBeL was captured and sentenced to the underworld for an indefinite amount of time, it appears that he may have found a way to open a gate to the battlefield for the Dark Lord before being caught. Of course, that is just one possible theory.

Here is the exact message I received from the EventSparrow. Make of it what you will, but be prepared to save Battlecity again. I will make sure that the heroes who save us from evil receive a reward of 1000 points each.

EventSparrow: “On September 7th, 2005, evil will attack Battlecity once again. The Dark Lord can only return through the center of the 5 gate cross. Stop the dark minion before it’s too late, otherwise face the Dark Lord and his army.”

Many years ago ReBeL was actually a male. In fact, ReBeL was a God on Odyssey, which is the equivalent of Admin on Battlecity. Of course, ReBeL eventually lost all power when corruption was suspected amongst the Gods. It is around this time that he decided to impersonate a woman under the name SuPaHGurL. Our poor friend Borfshwitz was the victim of this treachery, though I’ll leave out the details of what occurred. In the end, we can see that ReBeL is definitely involved with evil forces. Even before “her” sentencing to the underworld, she should have been suspected as an evil minion of the Dark Lord simply for her continuous laming. However, after investigation, we can see that “she” also has a desire for power and corruption. Ultimately, “she” must have intended to free the Dark Lord and then be rewarded with extreme power.

Of course, there is no actual evidence proving that ReBeL did in fact open a gate for the Dark Lord to return to Battlecity on September 7th. The evidence found only proved that ReBeL tried to make God Mode and failed. Perhaps ReBeL needed to be sent to the underworld with Equiliser in order to open the gate on September 7th… where is the center of the 5 gate cross? Did ReBeL already perform some sort of ritual to allow the Dark Lord to return?

At one point, over 40 players were on the server!!! At first, it seemed like the Dark Lord had the upper hand, as he managed to block off Benguela, Huambo, Cordoba and Andorra with turrets and managed to invade other big cities like Luanda, Bahia and Rio and drop turrets all around and inside their base.

The players eventually overwhelmed the Dark Lord with their numbers. Those cities which were conquered were eventually set free when some warriors managed to bomb the Dark Lords turret, sleeper and plasma factory destroying the thousands of weapons he had dropped all over the map. At first the Dark Lord was able to rebuild and re-defend his base, but all the players which were set free soon swarmed and destroyed him for good!!! Apparently, some of the evil minions who joined his city were actually allies of the good side who helped shoot the fortress defence.

Many years ago there was a player named Equiliser. Just like everyone, he built, defended and orbed. He made many friends and he made many ennemies.

However, a terrible evil soon began to spread through Battlecity. Hundreds of players began lag orbing, a form of cheating which was difficult to defend against. At the head of this group of evil cheaters was the self proclaimed "King of Lag"… Equiliser. Not only did he lag orb everyone all the time, but he also trained other people in the art of lagging which helped contribute to the death of the game.

To this day, it is unknown what turned Equiliser to evil… Is Equiliser the Dark Lord, or was he turned to evil by someone else?

Where were the administrators during all of this? Why were they unable to stop him? Well, interestingly enough the head admin of the time quit, or was possibly threatened or possessed by the evil force. Bone and Equiliser were then selected as head admins, though a struggle between the two soon saw Bone leave the community and left Equiliser at the top with all the power in his evil hands.

Before long, evil consumed the entire community. Everyone cheated and lagged. The Dark Lord and his minions turned the battlefield to hell and finished by destroying the entire game. The gates were closed, and Battlecity shut down forever.

The reign of evil was not done with this. Not only did they wish to destroy the land on which Battlecity was played, they also wanted to destroy the souls of those who played it. Equiliser claimed he was good and told everyone about a project to bring back Battlecity! This project was lead by TKIMO, who claimed to be programming the game. For months, people were excited and got their hopes up! However, in the end, the entire project turned out to be a hoax! Everyone was horrified. Many abandonned the community at this point, fed up with the ruling evil that had succeeded in destroying the game and their hopes of its return.

About 8 years later, the tables finally turned.. The evil force finally met its match, as ReMoTe began work on Battlecity with help from his faithful servant Weebo. ReMoTe oppened the gates to the battlefield once again and soon the community began to return!

On July 7th, the anniversary of Battlecity's death, the evil forces decided they must retalliate and destroy Battlecity once again.

At 10pm EST, Equiliser entered Battlecity. He quickly bombed several large cities to neutralize them while he began building his empire in Buenos Aires. Many people were ready to fight him! Over 20 people were waiting at Buenos and everyone began shooting him. The results were horrifying as Equiliser managed to slaughter over 25 of these players. Equiliser and Weebo then began dueling, chasing eachother around Buenos shooting hundreds of plasma bullets back and forth. Equiliser, who was unable to damage Weebo, found a way to hack into BC's admin functions and used them to "kick" Weebo. He laughed evily at this point and informed everyone the game was doomed..!

The battle went on for over 40 minutes! Turrets, plasmas, sleepers, mines were dropped everywhere. It looked like there was no hope at first, but eventually, good defeated evil!!!

Here is what we know:

At 10pm the "Dark Lord" will enter Buenos Aires because it is the central gateway to the battlefield. The "Dark Lord" whose identity is still unknown, will then build an immense fortress to protect his own CC. He will most likely hire 3 evil minions to defend the base, while he then tries to turret rush and trap every single city on the map. This means, CC's will be surounded with turrets and walls so people who try to join will immediately die. If all cities are blocked, nobody will ever be able to enter the battlefield again… We must not loose this battle, we must Orb the "Dark Lord" before he succeeds.

Here is the plan I propose:

We must group together at about 9:30pm EST. Let's all build full cities, but agree to ally in order to defeat this "Dark Lord". Then, we should all head over to Buenos Aires before 10pm EST and wait with all our bombs and weapons ready to attack immediately. If we work together, we may be able to destroy the "Dark Lord" as soon as he enters Buenos Aires.
